Translation quality requires a holistic approach: in addition to premium translation and cross-cultural adaptation services, we offer pre‑translation work (translatability assessment, translation and adaptation notes, selecting the right translation technology) and post‑translation work (linguistic verification, cultural suitability review e.g. for cultural suitability in psychological testing, translation quality assessment in multilingual surveys).
cApStAn Modular Approach
cApStAn organises its language services into 22 modules , or building blocks.
Depending on the client’s requirements, on time and resources available, and on the purpose and life cycle of the document, cApStAn will combine different modules to assemble a coherent project with the most suitable workflow. You will ultimately decide on which modules to keep.
The 11 modules in key moments A and B are all implemented before the actual translation process begins.
The 5 modules in key moment C relate to the actual translation process ; and
T he 6 modules in key moment D take place after the translation/adaptation process

Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) begins well before the translation process. Involving a language expert in the earliest stages of a project is a prerequisite to meet high standards of translation quality.
The cApStAn seal of approval goes a long way in endorsing your translation and cross-cultural adaptation procedures, confirming equivalence to the source and/or appropriateness for a given target population.
A translation must be fit for purpose. To achieve this, one needs the right combination of state of the art technology, experienced translators, and a process that makes operational sense.
We share our translation and quality control methodologies through publications, workshops, participation in Think Tanks and conferences.
