Pew Research Center

Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Project conducts public opinion surveys around the world on a broad array of subjects ranging from people’s assessments of their own lives to their views about the current state of the world. The Pew Research Center’s Religion & Public Life Project examines a wide range of issues concerning religion and society around the world.

In these attitudinal surveys, cApStAn performs a translatability assessment of new questionnaire items (upstream linguistic quality assurance) and verifies linguistic quality and equivalence of all language versions (downstream linguistic quality control). For the 2015 edition of the Global Attitudes Project, this LQC work was performed on 78 national versions in 62 different languages, from 41 participating countries.
