To make sure that the structure of the master file is correct and that there are no issues that could affect the translation process, a linguist reviews the source text. The linguist identifies characteristics of the text, such as the number of translatable words or the untranslatable entities that need to be locked. The result of that analysis would be feedback to the engineers, which they can use to modify the segmentation rules and improve the final files released for translation.
